The BLOOD CENTRE TECHNOLOGISTS’ ASSOCIATION MAHARASHRTA was formed in 2015 to give a special platform for the blood bank technologists in Maharashtra. Main aim of the association is to train Blood Centre Technologists for safe blood transfusion and upgrade them with the recent developments in this field. This association is By the technologists, Of the technologists and For the technologists. BCTAM usually organizes two days CME annually in different parts of Maharashtra. Special emphasis is given to rural areas where the technicians are mostly not aware of the latest development in the field of Blood Banking. Efforts are made to cover the basic, current and advance techniques in this field and all lectures are delivered in simple English, Marathi and Hindi language.
BCTAM is considered as the beginning of a new era in the field of blood Bank technologist and hence BCTAM has all plans to organize such CME’s in all districts of Maharashtra.
The unique feature of this CME is, most of the lectures are delivered by the Technologists, with experience of more than 20 years in National & International Conferences. These experienced Technologists share their knowledge & experience. Besides this BCTAM encourages the local technicians to share stage with their experience. This practice has created many new speakers from different parts of Maharashtra. Technologists are getting faith in the association and coming forward with new topics on which they want to speak.
